What made it so amazing?

The biggest crowd ever, great weather, and an incredible buzz - that's what made the New Year's Eve Carnival so amazing! It was a sight to behold, seeing people of all ages coming together to enjoy the market stalls, food stalls, rides, music, spinning wheels, animals and the show & shine, there was plenty of entertainment for everyone. The Show & Shine was a great success for car enthusiasts, family and friends! The energy in the air was electric, and the smiles on everyone's faces were contagious!

Who made it all happen?

First and foremost, a big thanks to all the volunteers who dedicated their time and effort to make this event a success. Without their hard work and commitment, none of this would have been possible. They truly deserve a round of applause for their selflessness and dedication.

Special thanks go out to the Nathalia Football Netball Club for their invaluable help. Their support and assistance were instrumental in making this event a memorable one. We are grateful for their partnership and the amazing work they do for the community.

Any standout moments?

Yes, indeed! We can't forget to mention Pat Moor and Mackenzie Craig for driving the train. The kids had an absolute ball riding the train and their smiles were priceless. It's people like Pat and Mackenzie who go above and beyond to create magical moments for others.

Another standout moment was thanks to Neale Hawks, who worked tirelessly to get the Recreation Reserve ready for the fireworks. And let's not forget the cleanup efforts the following day - Neale, you're a star!

A Night to Remember

The evening is topped off with a spectacular fireworks display at midnight. Sponsored by TJ’s IGA supermarket, Rex James Stockfeed, and Ryan Meat Company, the fireworks light up the sky and create a magical moment for all to enjoy. It is a truly unforgettable experience that brings people together and marks the start of a new year.

And let's not forget about the raffle! Jenny Darcy, a Nathalia girl now living in Queensland, was the lucky winner of the New Year’s Eve raffle trailer. Donated by Lawless Lasers. The trailer is filled with exciting contents that Jenny and her partner Luke will share with their family before heading back to Queensland. Congratulations, Jenny! What a great start to 2024. Second prize of a Smart TV donated by Ross Smith was Bluey Madden also from Nathalia and third prize of a $200 fuel voucher from Tasco Petroleum and Dove Motors was Jeanette Holland from Picola.
