Nathalia Show 2023- A Huge Success!

 

 

After months of anticipation, the Nathalia Show finally took place on October 7th, and it was an event to remember! Despite the initial worries caused by heavy rain, the weather smiled upon us, and we were blessed with a warm and sunny day. As they say, "The show must go on", and it was a resounding success, attracting an estimated crowd of 1200 people.

What Made the Nathalia Show So Special?

The Nathalia Show had something for everyone, with a wide range of activities and attractions that kept the crowd entertained throughout the day. From thrilling animal displays to adorable pet parades, there was never a dull moment!

Wild Animal Action

One of the highlights of the show was the incredible wild animal action by Black Snake. The Berkely Fishing Supertank also provided plenty of excitement, with their impressive fishing demonstrations that left everyone in awe.

Farm Animal Fun

The Nathalia Show celebrated the beauty and charm of farm animals, and there was no shortage of farm animal action. Visitors had the opportunity to interact with cows and learn more about these gentle creatures. A special Wessex Saddleback pig display, showcasing the unique characteristics of this beloved breed. The Cobbledick family provided a wonderful animal nursery and pony rides, delighting both children and adults alike!

The Pet Parade: A Spectacle to Remember

The Pet Parade was undoubtedly one of the highlights of the Nathalia Show. It was a sight to behold, with all sorts of furry and not-so-furry friends strutting their stuff. We owe a huge thank you to Nathalia Veterinary Clinic's very own Alli Parker and Kate Hodge, who did an exceptional job as the MC, adding an extra layer of excitement and entertainment to the event!

H & G Scavenger Hunt

Local real estate company H & G organized a scavenger hunt that was nothing short of amazing! Over 200 people participated in this thrilling event, and at the end, a lucky young family took home a prize of $500! Phil Daniel, the all-round champion, worked tirelessly to plan and execute this event.

Other highlights of the event

While the scavenger hunt was an attraction, there were other exciting activities that took place during the day. One of the highlights was the inaugural Mr. Nathalia competition, where participants showcased their unique mullet hairstyles and facial hair. Sam Horgan, Tate Butler, and Tom Baker emerged as the winners.

In addition, the event featured a sensational display of LEGO in the multipurpose rooms. LEGO enthusiasts of all ages marveled at the intricate creations and let their imaginations run wild! To make the event even more special, Fleur Watkins from LEGO Masters made a special appearance, much to the delight of the attendees!

The success of the Nathalia Show

Despite a few hiccups with some missing food vans (don't worry, fairy floss will be back next year!), the event was a huge success! Those who were there enjoyed a boost in sales and appreciated the support from the attendees. It's moments like these that truly showcase the sense of community and camaraderie that our local show fosters.

This year's numbers were up at the gate! The increased revenue is crucial for the sustainability of the event and allows the show to continue providing great entertainment for years to come!
