Cars and Coffee in Nathalia another Great Success!

It was a beautiful sunny morning in Nathalia for Cars and Coffee. Nathalia Lions Club were there early preparing the egg and bacon rolls, and the cars started to roll in.
The Zephyr & Zodiac Club of Victoria had 10 cars on display and local duo JB & ME were singing and adding to the atmosphere. There was a great selection of cars to admire, and the local cafes and bakery were kept busy. Shannons insurance had their representative at the event, and they donated a trophy for the best vehicle.
Around 10am we heard a loud noise down the side street and then an old “WHITE” Prime mover appeared blowing black soot out of its stacks. It was a head turner! Hopefully it’s the first of many trucks to come to these events.
We presented the trophy for best car of the morning at 11am to the owner of the one car that definitely stood out from the rest, a Blue 1957 Chevy Bel Air Convertible. It arrived to get a good spot just after 8am and had everyone in the crowd being drawn to it.
For a second month we had a couple drive up from Melton to attend and put their Green Envy BA XR8 Ute on display as well as many first timers. After the first cars and coffee last month this one still had me feeling wrapped that we were getting so many people into our town even if it is for only a couple of hours and to see the locals out and about was great. All up we had 54 cars and look forward to next months event on the 9th of June. Thanks to Nathalia Lions Club, Shannons and JB & ME for volunteering their time.
