The 2023 New Years Eve Carnival is just around the corner, and we couldn't be more excited! One of the highlights of the event is the spectacular fireworks display that lights up the night sky. Over the past couple of years, the cost of the fireworks has risen significantly, but the feedback from our supporters is clear - the fireworks are an important part of the celebration and should continue.

Generous sponsors and their support

We have been fortunate to have had very generous sponsors in Nathalia IGA who have sponsored the fireworks every year. Their support has been invaluable in making the fireworks display possible. Last year, we were also fortunate to have Ryan Meat Company come on board to help defray the rising cost. Their contribution made a significant difference.

The challenge of declining Gold Coin donations

While we are grateful for the support of our sponsors, we still rely on Gold Coin donations at the gate to help cover the cost of the fireworks. However, in recent years, we have noticed a significant decline in these donations. Many people no longer carry much cash, and this has affected the amount we are able to collect.
